Skill Builders - TAPP-C Program
The Ottawa Police Service and the Ottawa Fire Department refer children with whom they have been in contact directly to the Crossroads Children's Centre. This program provides direct intervention for these children by teaching anger management, social skills and interpersonal, cognitive problem-solving strategies. Services also include interventions with the parent(s), followed by sessions with a counsellor who works in the child's home in an effort to tailor the skills that the child has learned to the home environment. Other services include family, marital and individual therapy, psychiatric assessment and other specialized groups as required.
