Our community is measurably better as a result of United Way/Centraide Ottawa and its work with others. We work hard to find solutions to community issues by focusing our work in six impact areas. By bringing people together from all parts of our community to identify, develop and provide solutions to community issues, we promise that the donations we receive go where they are needed the most and where they will have the greatest impact.

Our Community Investment Directory describes the 2009 investments that we have made in each of our six impact areas:

• Individuals and Families in Times of Need and Crisis
• People with Disabilities
• New Canadians and Immigrants
• Agency, Neighbourhood and Community Capacity

We are also investing in a special initiative focused on the aboriginal community in Ottawa.
