Graphic Designer/desKtop publisher
Purpose of Volunteer Position
To help with graphic design and desktop publishing production requirements during the year to support the work of United Way and others.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Creative Director and the other designers to support production requirements
- Work with the production coordinator for print management
- Help with design and design layout when needed
- Set files up for external printing and for use on Web and other screens
- Adhere to all Brand standards for the different brands managed by Communications & Marketing
Time Commitment
- On-site or off-site by piece, or if more time is available, from March to August (on-site only)
- Available for a one-hour organizational orientation session
Qualifications
Education:
- Diploma in Graphic Design, Print media or related
- Pre-press
Experience: 1-3 years
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Understanding of MS office
- FTP knowledge
- Pre-press preparation
- Web formats
