Technical Support and Training

We provide technical support and training to agencies that are applying to renew their funding and are submitting program reports.

Support Services
You can receive support to complete your program report and/or application for funding renewal during regular work hours by contacting your agency lead director or by contacting Annick Kingsberry by phone at 613-683-3822 or by e-mail at akingsberry@unitedwayottawa.ca.

Training Workshops
We offer two-hour training workshops early on in the calendar year to agencies that need help with completing their program report and/or funding renewal application. We’ll show you the steps you need to take to complete your program report, as well as provide an overview of the funding renewal application process (for those agencies that are eligible to apply for renewed funding).

Computer Training
We are pleased to partner with Algonquin College to provide ACCESS 2003 training onsite at 363 Coventry Road on August 25th, 26th and 27th, 2009.

We are offering Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels and a description of the course content for each level is attached. The course is from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm each day and will be taught in English.

We expect to have space available for agency staff on a first come, first served basis (we can only accommodate a maximum of 14 students). The cost is $50.00 per day.

Unless a student identifies themselves at the beginner level, each would be required to take a test to determine their level of proficiency so we can assign students to the correct levels. Please contact Valerie Parker no later than August 10, 2009, to set up your test or to register.

Orientation Sessions
We offer orientation sessions to help agencies ensure that their applications are complete. Sessions are available in English and French throughout the month of November.

One-on-One Assistance
Ongoing support is available during work hours by contacting Annick Kingsberry by phone at 613-683-3822 or by e-mail at akingsberry@unitedwayottawa.ca.
Scheduled one-on-one application proposal writing sessions are available during the funding application process. Interested agencies must attend an orientation session first before requesting this service. Check back here in the early fall for more information.
