For more than 75 years, you’ve known us for our fundraising capabilities. That’s still an important part of what we do, but it’s only part of the picture. Our role in our community is evolving – driven not just by social conditions and changing demographics, but also by shifts in the wants and expectations of you, our donors and partners. You see your donations not merely as charity, but also as an investment in your community, producing tangible results. You want to do more than give, to also speak up and take action. You want to make change happen.
With the support of donors and others, we are bringing to bear strategies that include research, convening, advocacy and investment that not only address short-term need but also creates create lasting change in our community. Next Generation Cabinet
The Next Generation Cabinet ensures that our presence in the community is sustained for many years to come. It consists of philanthropists between 20 and 40 years of age who promote the work of United Way among the younger generation in our community. Next Generation Cabinet
Youth Action Panel
Involving youth in their community, giving them a voice and the power to make change happen is the purpose of our Youth Action Panel. They not only lead initiatives within their communities, they advise us on the development of youth-targeted programs.
Community Services Cabinet and Investment Committee
As part of our evolution and our drive to have a measurable impact on the community, we rely on our Community Services Cabinet to provide us with strategic focus and direction. This Cabinet is made up of volunteers from across our community. The Investment Committee, a sub-committee of the Community Services Cabinet, brings oversight to program expenditures to ensure that our investments are properly managed and that intended results are acheived.

Campaign Cabinet
Our Annual Community Campaign supports the vast majority of our work. Our Campaign Cabinet consists of influential individuals from virtually every sector in the city – business, government, education, labour, mediaand social agencies. Campaign Cabinet.
Management Team
Our management team is at the forefront of the Make Change Happen call to action. They provide advice to our Board of Directors and Campaign Cabinet, and are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our organization and the ongoing relationship with our donors, partners, sponsors and volunteers.
