United Way Ottawa is Celebrating 75 Years
United Way/Centraide has been making a difference in Ottawa for 75 years — and we think this is a reason to celebrate. This extraordinary milestone gives us the opportunity to honour the legions of volunteers, workplaces, agencies, partners and donors who have made the last 75 years possible. Together, we've been making an exciting impact in the community by giving back, sharing what we've all learned, and acting on the generosity that comes naturally to all of us who work and live in Ottawa.
Check back often for updates on our celebration plan. Among other activities, we'll be launching a new website and holding summer festivities. We even hope to have the mayor proclaim a United Way/Centraide Day.
For more information on United Way/Centraide's 75th anniversary or if you'd like to get involved, e-mail us at 75years@unitedwayottawa.ca or call 613-683-3860.
Have a story to tell? We want to hear it!
To commemorate 75 years in the community, United Way/Centraide is collecting stories from anyone who has been affected by, involved in or inspired by the work that we and our partners and volunteers do.
Were you involved in a workplace campaign?
Have you volunteered with United Way/Centraide?
Have you worked for United Way/Centraide?
Do you work for or have you been touched by one of the many agencies supported by United Way/Centraide?
How long have you been involved? One year? Five years? Twenty years?
We'd love to hear your story. You can e-mail us at stories@unitedwayottawa.ca.
